Version 0.1.8 was submitted successfully to a restricted Google Play Internal testing track on 20 September 2026. This records the upload, not public availability or acceptance on a physical device. No public rollout or release is claimed.

What it does

Zen Mode lets people aged 13 and older configure feed boundaries for supported YouTube, Instagram, and X surfaces, website rules for supported browsers, and daily, timed-visit, or rolling rules for launchable apps.

Detection depends on the accessibility layouts exposed by Android and supported third-party apps. Unknown or ambiguous surfaces are left alone.

Accessibility and local processing

Zen Mode is a focus and screen-time tool, not an accessibility tool. It uses Android Accessibility access only after an in-app disclosure, affirmative consent, and separate enablement in Android Settings.

Accessibility screen data, supported-browser address-bar values, foreground-app events, rules, and usage state are processed locally as described in the privacy policy. Zen Mode does not take screenshots, record typing, save visited addresses, or transmit guard data to Lab4Code.

The user can return to Android Accessibility Settings and disable the service at any time.
